Jam in the Round is a participatory community music gathering focused on connection, shared energy, and making music together in an open and welcoming space.

This is not a performance or open mic, but a collaborative musical circle where people are invited to play, sing, listen, or simply be present as part of a collective musical experience.

The gathering is facilitated by Pond Lily Project Artist Mentor Olivia Nied and is open to everyone. You do not need to be a musician or have any experience, and there is no pressure to perform. You are welcome to participate actively, contribute gently, listen, or simply enjoy the atmosphere.

Basic backline is provided, including drums and microphones. If you plan to bring an electric guitar or bass, please bring your own amplifier if needed. Group singing and percussion are encouraged.

Each month, the jam includes a small curated song list to help ground the group and give everyone a shared starting point. Lyrics will be available for these songs, and the current month’s list is shared in advance so participants can practice or prepare if they wish.

There is also an ongoing community-curated song list where anyone can suggest songs for future gatherings. Each month, a few songs from this larger list are selected so the group can stay musically connected while reflecting the community’s input.
