Songwriters in the Round Summer Concert Series Launches May 9th

The National Spiritual Alliance will launch our Songwriters in the Round Summer Concert Series on Saturday, May 9 at 5:00 PM at the historic Thompson Temple Sanctuary in Lake Pleasant, Massachusetts.

This intimate concert format brings three accomplished songwriters together on stage to share not only their music, but the stories and inspiration behind their songs. In a relaxed, conversational setting, artists take turns performing, offering audiences a deeper look into the creative process and the personal journeys that shape their work.

The opening concert will feature local singer-songwriters Jake Klar, Carolyn Walker, and Helen Hummel. All three have truly distinctive voices in the New England music scene, known for their thoughtful songwriting and engaging live performances.

The Songwriters in the Round series is part of the Pond Lily Project, an initiative of The National Spiritual Alliance focused on building intentional, community-driven music experiences. The series emphasizes connection between artist and audience, creating a shared space where music, storytelling, and presence come together.

The concert will take place in the Thompson Temple Sanctuary, a historic and acoustically rich space that enhances the listening experience and supports the series’ focus on attentive, engaged audiences. The location of the building is just ajacent to the water in Lake Pleasant, and next to the Bridge of Names.

This event is offered on a suggested donation basis of $20–$30 (mo one turned away for lack of funds)

Doors open shortly before the performance. Seating is limited.
