Spiritualism is a religion, philosophy, and science centered on the continuity of life and the ability of souls to communicate across dimensions.
It honors personal spiritual responsibility, ethical living, inquiry, and direct spiritual experience. Spiritualism affirms that the soul is eternal and that communication between materiality and non-materiality is possible.
The Mission of The National Spiritual Alliance is to provide a diverse, open, and affirming organization of individuals, ministers, churches, societies, spiritual healing and mediumship development centers, and schools for the practice and promotion of the religion, philosophy, and science of Spiritualism.
We are deistic, democratic, inclusive, and reincarnationist, welcoming all who seek spiritual understanding regardless of prior faith tradition — or none at all.
TNSA was formed with the intention of uniting individuals, churches, campmeeting associations, State Alliances, and Sunday-School Alliances into one general National Spiritual Alliance — working together for benevolent, educational, literary, musical, scientific, experimental, religious, and missionary purposes germane to the philosophy, phenomena, and religion of Spiritualism.
We envision Spiritualism not only as a belief system, but as an evolving practice — rooted in demonstration, inquiry, healing, ethics, and service.
Infinite Intelligence is Deity—the designing and creating energy for all that exists. Existence itself carries essence, guidance, meaning, and purpose.
From one source came all. Despite surface differences, all is within us, and each of us is within all else.
The soul is eternal. While the physical body dies, the spirit continues its journey.
Spirit transcends dimension. All souls—both in the flesh and in spirit—are capable of communication with one another.
Truth is eternal. We seek truth within ourselves, through other souls, sacred writings, and the natural order that sustains us.
Cause produces effect through thoughts, words, and deeds. We create ourselves and our circumstances and are solely responsible for our choices and creations.
Patience is the path to tolerance, and tolerance is the path to love. We associate with this Alliance to lovingly cooperate with all who seek spiritual understanding.
The Principles of The National Spiritual Alliance are not abstract ideals; they are lived commitments. We strive to embody them in our spiritual practices, our community life, and our service to others—honoring both individual spiritual freedom and our shared responsibility to one another.
